Stop hijacking my "play" button

When I have TypingMind open, if I press the "play/pause" button on my Mac then it makes TypingMind replay the "ping" sound like when a message is completed. This is never the behaviour I want - I'm pressing the button because I want to play/pause Spotify or whatever app I'm listening to something on.

Can TypingMind be updated to ignore the play/pause button so that the system command can pass through to a different app?
