Speed up Speech-to-text somehow?!

I rely almost exclusively on speech-to-text to interact with the app. I’ve noticed that transcription is nearly instantaneous within the ChatGPT app, but when using the OpenAI Whisper API via TypingMind, the process takes significantly longer. I’m wondering if there are any backend adjustments we could implement to speed things up—perhaps recording in mono or with a lower bitrate? Anything improvement to make the STT significantly faster would be much appreciated.
