After my "Deep Research" request became a reality (60 upvotes → new plugin), I'm doubling down with a second request:
A "Custom Voice Tone Builder" within TypingMind that empowers users to define, save, and apply their own AI communication styles—moving beyond limited default tones. This feature would enable professionals to craft voice consistency, allowing the AI to:
Create unlimited custom tones via intuitive builders: define formality (1-10 scale), sentiment (empathetic/analytical/visionary), key lexicon (e.g., "ROI-focused", "framework-oriented"), and audience alignment (executives vs. technical teams).
Save and organize tone libraries with searchable categories (e.g., "Client Presentations", "Internal Strategy", "Coaching Sessions") for instant reuse across chats, agents, or documents.
Apply tones dynamically per conversation or prompt (e.g., "/tone: Strategic Partner" for managerial coaching) with auto-suggestions based on context (e.g., detect "governance query" → suggest "Calm Authority" tone).
Share and import tone templates within teams or via community marketplace, enabling Resellers to white-label industry-specific voices (e.g., "Legal Advisory", "Healthcare Compliance").
Integrate with document outputs (linking to Detached Documents feature) to ensure consistent branding across reports, memos, and presentations—no manual style editing needed.
Preview and A/B test tones side-by-side to refine voice calibration before finalizing critical communications or client deliverables.
The goal is to help consultants, brand managers, content creators, and enterprise teams who need AI responses that reflect their unique professional identity—avoiding the commoditization of generic AI voices. This positions TypingMind as the voice-orchestration leader for governance, strategy, and branded communication workflows.
Why This Matters: Default tones like "Professional" or "Casual" don't align with nuanced needs (e.g., Italian managers requiring "Partner Strategico: empathetic authority + anti-hype pragmatism").
Custom libraries would save hours of prompt refinement and ensure every AI interaction builds credibility, not dilutes it—critical for high-stakes advisory or governance contexts.
