MCP Configuration Enhancement Request

Current State

The MCP configuration feature works well for adding MCP services, but lacks visibility into what each service actually provides.

Enhancement Requests

1. Detailed Tool Display

Currently, when adding an MCP service, users only see something like "amap-maps (12 tools)" without knowing what those 12 tools actually are.

Suggested improvement:

  • Add an expandable section or details view for each MCP service

  • Display the complete list of available tools with their names and descriptions

  • Show tool status (enabled/disabled)

2. Granular Tool Control

Right now it's an all-or-nothing approach - you either enable the entire MCP service or disable it completely.

Suggested improvement:

  • Individual toggle switches for each tool within an MCP service

  • Allow users to selectively enable/disable specific tools based on their needs

  • Batch enable/disable options for convenience

Reference Implementation

I saw your post about TypingMind and tried Zapier - it works great! While TypingMind has the advantage of supporting custom MCP servers, Zapier excels at detailed tool visibility and granular control. Each connector clearly shows all available actions, and you can manage them individually. This would be a perfect model to follow.

These enhancements would give users much better control over their MCP configurations and help them understand exactly what capabilities each service provides.
