Make chat/folder sidebar horizontally sizeable

Please make the left sidebar with chats and folders horizontally sizable. Most of my chat titles are abbreviated.

I would like to see an option for a) standard/fixed sizing (as it is now) with a default width one can change, and b) a separate option (checkbox) to allow horizontal sizing by dragging the window border to the left or right.
