MacOS, screenshot problem

On macOS, when I take a screenshot and immediately drag it in the typing field it doesn’t recognize the file at all. I first need to put it on my desktop or somewhere else and then I can drag it in there, and it gets recognized (it’s like it needs to be saved first or something like that).

It’s annoying because I work fast and on chatgpt I can drag it and drop it in there immediately and it will get recognized no problem and I can keep working.
