How can this not support background/app switching?!

When I enter a query and then switch to another app on android - as one is wont to do while waiting - when I switch back often there is some variety of error and there is no reply.

I do not understand how an AI app can ship without background text buffering. We figured out how to do this stuff with ssh/mosh/screen/tmux decades ago. Why is my experience chatting on IRC 25 years ago better than chatting with AI in 2026?!

I mean seriously, if you look at the base issue this was solved with the invention of terminals and time sharing systems at the dawn of the computer age.

Due to this issue alone I am canceling my purchase. I don't know how anyone finds an app you need to just stare at while not doing anything else usable.
