Google Vertex AI

Google AI Studio by default has a tier (rate limiting) system. This even applies to the paid tier, where the standard categorization is “tier 1”. When using Gemini 3 Flash in combination with MCP for coding the quota limits are reached incredibly fast.

Google Vertex AI does not have this issue and does not have a similar tier system implemented. I really want to just reference Gemini 3 Flash through Vertex AI instead of the Google AI Studio connector to prevent these tier issues.

Upgrading tiers is a chore and costs a lot of time. There are also many reported issues where the tier upgrade button does not show up at all. TLDR: Please add Vertex AI support to skip this quota issue. I don’t want to spend $250 for hoping to get something after 30 days.

I would really like to make the switch ASAP to Gemini 3 Flash from GPT 5.2 for coding, since it saves me a lot of money.
