Copy-pasting from dark theme maintains grey text color

If I'm copying this text (on dark theme) to google docs, I get a greyed out version (pictures follow). If I'm copying it using the copy button I get markdown. Would it be possible to get a copy button that would properly copy/format the text for google docs (even when on dark theme)? Or an export button? I'm currently using a markdown to docs plugin to handle this.

Note: ctrl + shift + v would lose all formatting, I'd love to keep the formatting.
